Extensive experience in Sales Management, Business Development and Account Management roles as well as managing people very focussed on setting and meeting targets, customer & organisational success and ongoing individual and team development. Strong track record in complex consultative, solution based sales, capable of establishing and maintaining strategic relationships at Executive and C level in industries such as Broadcast, Digital & online, Government and Enterprise. Shayne is responsible for the technology sales with the Lenovo Data Centre Group across Australia and New Zealand that comprises the internal technical sales team and also the pre-sales solution architects in the field across both countries. Shayne's primary role is set and manage the strategic intent of the technical sales resources for the enablement and market share growth of our alliance partners and end to end portfolio. Shayne has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry in technical and sales focussed roles and holds a bachelor of Business Management from the University of South Australia.

As Principal Analyst and futurist at Altimeter, I study disruptive technology and its impact on business and society. In my reports, articles and books, I humanise technology and its impact on business and society to help executives gain new perspectives and insights. My research explores digital transformation, customer experience and culture 2.0 and "the future of" industries, trends and behaviour.

I’m the Executive Director for Worldwide Marketing at Lenovo and responsible for driving global strategy, digital marketing and operations for a global PC + technology leader. In 2016, I was awarded the company’s top award for Leadership Excellence and have continued to expand my scope. While at Lenovo, I have worked both at the corporate and business unit levels driving award-winning marketing strategy and execution. Prior to joining Lenovo, I worked at Lexmark International and Philips Electronics. I have over 18 years of experience in consumer electronics and technology. Rooted on a strong foundation, with a bachelor degree from Miami University and a MBA from Goizueta Business School at Emory university, I am a business leader that gets results.

As Managing Director of Lenovo (Australia & New Zealand) Pty Ltd I am responsible for Lenovo’s business within the ANZ region across all Government, Commercial, Consumer and Emerging PC+ segments. I joined Lenovo in 2006 in Singapore at the AP Centre of Excellence and in 2009 was appointed Director of Operations (COO), Japan where I spent four years before returning to Australia, where I was appointed as Managing Director for Lenovo ANZ in 2013. Prior to joining Lenovo I worked in a number of large global IT vendors in various Product Marketing and Sales roles over 10 years. I am a non-executive Board member of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the International CEO Forum Group.
