The CIO evolution

If business were an orchestra, the CIO would be the conductor of information technology, operation, and executive strategy, ensuring harmonies among the various sources of intelligence, aligning and integrating business objectives and resources in pursuit of growth and new opportunities.

As CIOs evolve into a more complex role, we wanted to know how they are discharging these new duties, tackling the obstacles that come with expanding digital capabilities and how they are making decisions that go far beyond technology.

of CIOs said they will turn to their IT vendors in the next 5 years, to tackle challenges such as increasing their organizational agility (60%), providing security of their company’s systems and operations (52%), and simplifying the configuration, deployment and maintenance of technology (50%).
