ThinkCenter Military Grade Computer Hardware Testing

ThinkCentre Mil-SPEC testing

Mil-SPEC is a set of standards designed to test durability, ruggedness and reliability. These tests cover extreme environmental variables including temperature, pressure, dust, humidity and vibration testing.

In 9 years of continuous innovation, our focus has been on producing the most reliable commercial desktops in the market, and it would be wasted effort if our ThinkCentres were only expected to perform under ideal conditions. That's why they're rigorously tested to ensure that from the steel casing to the ports, to the components inside, they possess the physical toughness that enables them to continue performing, even under extreme conditions.

ThinkCentres are designed for ultimate reliability, so you can depend on them whenever you need to. So meeting toughness standards like Mil-SPEC is only one part of our rigorous and exhaustive testing regimen that ensures a ThinkCentre's robustness and durability.

ThinkCentre Tiny M93p models have passed the following tests:

HUMIDITY

91 - 98%

Subjected to 91-98% humidity at 30°C to 60°C

LOW TEMPERATURE

Storage: -25°C for 24 hrs.

Operation: -21°C for 8 hrs.

HIGH TEMPERATURE

Storage: 63°C for 24 hrs.

Operation: 43°C for 8 hrs.

SAND & DUST TEST

140 mech silica dust for 6 hr. cycles and silica sand for 90 min. cycles.

HIGH VIBRATION

MULTIPLE TESTS

Undergoes multiple tests while switched on and off

MECHANICAL SHOCK

x18 TIMES

High acceleration and repeated shock pulses over 18 times

HIGH ALTITUDE

15,000ft

Tests operation at 15,000 feet while running

EXTREME TEMPERATURE

-20° – +60°C

Performs in temperatures oscillating between -20°C and +60°C over 3 cycles of 2 hour duration
